5 Characteristics of Leading Industrial IoT Connectivity Solution Providers (Part 3)
Part 3: Certified overall quality management
By Stephane Dejean – Kerlink CMO
In the first two articles in this series, we covered how companies and public agencies that are considering deploying Internet of Things networks can ensure their network is based on exceptional design and that their vendors’ hardware and software are subject to rigorous process verification throughout production.
This week’s article summarizes the third characteristic of leading industrial IoT connectivity solution suppliers: a highly robust and certified quality-management program. Maintaining an extensive, well-documented program ensures that Kerlink constantly provides its global customers with high-performing, reliable, industrial-grade products. There are two aspects to Kerlink’s quality-management program: ISO 9001:2015 certification and auditing, and local-and-regional certifications.
The series:
- Characteristic 1: Exceptional hardware and software product design – Jan. 30
- Characteristic 2: Supported and verified industrial production processes – Feb. 6
- Characteristic 3: Certified overall quality management – Feb.13
- Characteristic 4: Locally supported field operations – Feb. 20
- Characteristic 5: Ongoing excellent customer satisfaction – Feb. 25
ISO certification 9001:2015 and auditing
The ISO 9001:2015 certification from the International Organization for Standardization specifies requirements for quality-management systems in organizations that need to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. It also aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system over time, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Kerlink is certified for its “Design, development and commercialization of network solutions dedicated to the Internet of Things market (IoT) and for interconnecting remote devices.” Initially awarded to Kerlink in 2016, ISO certifications based on updated standards were renewed in 2018 and 2019.
This certification requires regular internal audits as well as audits of Kerlink’s suppliers and subcontractors, which provide further validation of Kerlink teams’ ongoing commitment to quality management up and down our regional and global supply chains.
